Tempting Rowan Blog Tour

Tempting Rowan
by Micalea Smeltzer

I’m drowning in the numbness. It’s pulling me under and I can’t see the surface. It’s easier to pretend I can’t feel. And the longer you pretend, the easier it is to believe. But he wants to save me. Only he can’t. I have to save myself…and I don’t know if I want to.
Rowan Sinclair’s life has been anything but easy. With an alcoholic mother and a sleazy stepfather, it’s been her responsibility to raise her younger siblings. At twenty-one she’s chained to a life she doesn’t want, but sees no other alternative. After all, what would happen to her brother and sister if she were to leave?
Trenton Wentworth sees the pain behind Rowan’s eyes. He wants nothing more than to make it disappear. To hold her. To love her. Except Rowan keeps everyone at a safe distance. But if there’s anyone that can break down the walls she’s built around herself, it’s Trent. So she avoids him at all costs. But Trent isn’t one to be easily evaded. He’s stubborn and determined. He’ll save this girl even if it costs him everything.
Love, lies, and deception.
That’s the name of the game when you’re Tempting Rowan.

My Review:

Everyone has ups and downs in life. And during those downs, we need something that will help us forget the bad things.  For some people that something is music or exercise. For me, that something is reading. I'll tell people that I love reading and they'll think that I just like reading over hating it. But in reality, reading is my escape. Reading lets me freeze all my problems and dive into another story. I need books that have the unpredictable game changers and the parts that don't make any sense till the end. And the best part of reading those types of books, is because you know there is going to be a happy ending.

Tempting Rowan is that incredibly frustrating book with the game changers that you will stay up all night reading because you can't put it down. I knew I wanted to read this book the minute I saw it on Goodreads. I fell in love with Trace and Olivia's story and I knew that this one would be amazing. When I received the ARC, I freaked out. Any plans I had just disappeared because I had a date with Trent and Row.

Did the book start it how I planned? Nope. Did I see the plot twist coming? Nope. Did I expect the ending to turn out the way it did? Nope. I had no idea what was coming and I loved it. I was almost as clueless as Row was in the book, and it was awesome. This is the first time in forever that I have read a book that keeps me on my toes.

While this book is from Row's perspective, you still don't know everything that happened. So in a way, you are able to experience both Trent and Row's side of the story. Another positive for this book, is the characters. Trent and Row are already pretty fabulous. Add Trace, Olivia, Izzy, Tristan, Jude, and all the other characters that add a bit more glitter in the story, and you get a pretty fantastic story.

I really don't have anything to say about plot line except for that its perfect. If you think you know what's coming, you will be very very surprised. And it's good to have some surprise in life.

If I keep gushing, you all might never read this book, so grab your reading device, buy the book, and start reading.
